ment of a joint special committee, to consist of three members
of each House on the Maryland Hospital, to which shall he
referred all matters that may he presented in relation to that
Institution with instructions to examine into its condition and
exigencies, and report by bill or otherwise has been received,
and we concur.

We have appointed on the part of this body Messrs. McMas-
ters, Miles and Kimmel, as members of said committee.

Which was concurred in.
On motion of Mr. Duvall,

Leave was granted the Montgomery county delegation, to
introduce a bill for the increase of the per diem allowance of
the commissioners of Montgomery county.

On motion of Mr. Stirling,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation, to in-
troduce a bill to provide for the representation of the State in
sundry cases in the Court of Appeals, under the revenue law
of 1856.

Mr. Kennard, presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Baltimore city, asking the repeal of the act of 1854, issuing
license to inspectors of wood, leather, &c.

Which was referred to the committee on Inspections.

On motion, the House adjourned till to morow morning
at 11 o'clock.
