Mr. Alexander from the committee on Judiciary reported
favorably on the following bills :

A bill entitled, an act to enlarge the equity jurisdiction of
the Circuit Court of this State and the Superior Court of Bal-
timore;

A bill entitled, an act to increase the jurisdiction of the
of the Register of Wills for Somerset county;

A bill entitled, an act for the regulation of Sheriffs fees;

A bill entitled, an act to change the name of the Pittsburg
and Connellsville Railroad Company to the Pittsburg, Con-
nellsville and Baltimore Railroad Company;

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the Commissioners of
Charlestown, in Cecil county, to sell to the Trustees of the
Methodist Episcopal Church in said town a certain lot of
ground now occupied by said Church ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Goldsbrough, from the select committee, reported favor-
ably on a bill entitled, an act to authorise the Circuit Court
of Talbot county to pass a decree for the sale of the real es-
tate of John Banks, free negro, and distribute the proceeds
thereof.

Mr. Crowley, from a select committee reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act to limit the places for retailing certain
articles in the city of Baltimore.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Magruder, from a select committee, reported favorably
on a bill for the relief Thomas R. Tongue, of Calvert county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Belt, from a select committee, reported favorably on a
bill entitled, an act to amend the act incorporating the trus-
tees of the Bladensburg Academy.

Mr. Hobbs, from a select committee, reported favorably on
a bill entitled, an act to authorise the County Commissioners
of Frederick County, to purchase certain indexes to the land
records of said county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Alexander, from a select committee, reported favorably
on a bill entitled, an act to enlarge the duties of the Commis-
sioners of Public Works;

Which was read the first time.
