After some absence the tellers returned and reported that
there were seventy-eight ballots cast in all, of which Llewellyn
Boyle received sixty-seven votes; that there were seven blank
votes, and four scattering votes;

The Speaker then declared Llewellyn Boyle duly elected
State Librarian for the term of two years.

The House resumed the consideration of the amendment to
the act regulating pilotage.

Mr. Tilghman moved to indefinitely postpone said bill;

The yeas and nays were demanded on the motion, and ap-
