Strike out the 4th and 6th section of the bill.

Mr. Thruston proposed the following amendment:

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That all vessels laden exclusive-
ly with Cumberland coal shall be, and they are hereby ex-
cepted and exempted from the operation of this act.
Mr. Kilbourn proposed the following amendment:
"Also, all vessels laden with corn and wheat, the product
of the State of Maryland."

Mr. Mackubin moved that the House do now adjourn;
Determined in the negative.

The question then being on the amendment of Mr. Kil-
bourn;
