714            JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [March 3,

Mr. Mackubin, offered the following order:

Ordered, That the committee on Claims he directed to pro-
vide for the payment of the President of the Senate, Speaker
of the House and the committee on engrossed bills, for such
time as they may be compelled to remain at the seat of Gov-
ernment, after the close of the session;                           

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,

The rules were suspended, and

The bill entitled, an act to provide for a State subscription
to Wingate's Maryland Register for 1858 and 1859;

Was read the second and third times, by special order,
three-fourths of all the members concurring, and passed by
yeas and nays as follow:

tured manures, and for the appointment of inspectors thereof
for the city of Baltimore, was then taken up for consideration.

The said bill being upon its second reading;
