WEDNESDAY, March 3d, 1858.
The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Graff.
Present at the call of the roll the following members:

Baltimore county, Lynch, of Baltimore county, Smith, of
Baltimore county, Goldsborough, Waller, Sudler, of Som-
erset, Tilghman, Dail, Richardson, Grieves, Davis, Ford, of
Cecil, Kidd, Belt, Wyville, Sudler, of Queen Anne's, Landing,
Spence, Hearn, Thomas, Harding, Bowlus, Root, Koons,
Hobbs, Hanway, Bacon, Baker, Todd, McGonigal, Stirling,
Rogers, McPherson, Smith, of Baltimore city, Kennard,
Lynch, of Baltimore city, Crowley, Forrest, Alexander,
Gray, Schnebly, Riddlemoser, Duvall, Thruston, Kilgour,
McKinstry, Reindollar, Day, Welling and Dorsey.
The proceedings of yesterday were read.
Mr. Ford, of Baltimore county, offered the following order:
Ordered, That immediately upon the meeting of the House
for evening sessions, the counties be called in their order, and
upon such call, each county delegation shall designate, by
number, two local bills, and the Baltimore city delegation
four local bills, which shall be read a second or third time,
or both, and put upon their final passage, and that, for that
purpose, the rules are hereby suspended;
Which was adopted.
Mr. Goldsborough offered the following order:
Ordered, That no bill be hereafter printed without the
special order of this House, and that all bills in the possession
of the printer of this House be forthwith returned to the
Speaker;
Which was adopted.
Mr. Dail offered the following order :
Ordered, That the committee on Claims be directed to
close the Journal of accounts on Friday next, the 5th inst.;
Which was adopted.
Mr. Mackubin offered the following order:
Ordered, That on Friday next, immediately after the read-
ing of the Journal, the House proceed to the consideration of
bills reported from the committee on Claims;
Which was adopted.
