Ordered, That His Excellency, the Governor, be respectfully
requested to have the National Flag displayed from the State
House steeple on to-morrow, 8th January, in commemoration of
the victory achieved by the American troops under General
Jackson, over the British forces, on the 8th January, 1815, at New
Orleans;
