670           JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS          [March 2,

Adjutant General be and he is hereby ordered to furnish Cap-
tain Herr, of the Williamsport Guards, fifty muskets, with
the necessary accoutrements, from the quota due the State
from the General Government, for the year 1858, upon his
giving security for their safe keeping and return, when re-
quired by the State ;

Which was read.

Mr. Meginnis offered the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal, that Mr.
Moore's absence is occasioned by sickness.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Morgan offered the following order:

Ordered, That the bill relating to the Chesapeake and Ohio
Canal be made the order of the day to-morrow, at 1 o'clock;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Rogers offered the following order:

Ordered, That the order offered by the delegate from Alle-
gany county, (Mr. Thruston,) in relation to a decision of the
Speaker of this House, as made on yesterday, be and the same
is hereby directed to be expunged from the Journal;

Mr. Goldsborough called for the previous question;

Which was sustained.

The question then being,

"Shall the main question be now put?"

It was determined in the affirmative.

The question then being on the order offered by Mr. Rogers

The yeas and nays being demanded upon the order, ap-
peared as follow:
