Mr. Riddlemoser, from a select committee, reported favora-
bly on the bill entitled, a supplement to an act entitled, an
act passed January session, 1852, chapter 354, to encourage
the destruction of foxes and wild cats in Frederick county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Bacon, from a select committee, reported favorably on
a bill entitled, an act to authorise the appointment of an in-
spector of lumber at Bell's ferry, in the Second Election Dis-
trict of Harford county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. McKinstry, from a select committee, reported favora-
bly on a bill entitled, an act to incorporate Uniontown, in
Carroll county, by the name of Uniontown;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Alexander, from the committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act regulating the
issue of Marriage licenses in this State, and prescribing the
duties of the clerks of courts issuing the same;

Which was read the first time.

Also, reported favorably on the following Senate bills:

A bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed from James
A. Bowen and Sarah E. Bowen, his wife, to Wm. H. New-
man.

A bill entitled, an act relating to appearances by defen-
dants to suits and actions at law.

Mr. Hobbs, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act to authorise the trustees of Primary
School District No. 1, in Frederick county, to sell the School
House in said District;

Which was read the first time; also

Reported favorably the bill entitled, an act to incorporate
the Jefferson Division No. 163, of the Sons of Temperance of
Frederick county and State of Maryland ;

Which was read the first time; also

Favorably on the bill entitled, an act to confirm to John
Arnold, Sr., of Frederick county, the sale of a certain tract
of land by Emanuel Slifer, with certain reservations therein
contained;

Which was read the first time; also

Favorably on the bill entitled, an act for the erection of an
additional Election District in Frederick county ;
Which was read the first time.
