Which was assented to.

The said bill as amended was then read the second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to authorise the County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery county to put upon the levy of said
county, a sum of money for the benefit of George P. Atwood,
of said county;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to authorise and require the re-
moval of gates from the Third Election District of Caroline
county;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to widen the public road from
Georgetown to Georgetown Cross Roads, and from Chester-
ville to Massey's Cross Roads, and Chesterville to Georgetown
Cross Roads, and to straighten the road from Chesterville to
Georgetown Cross Roads;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act for the benefit of Ebenezer Horner,
Wm. Hammond, Ennalls Dickenson, Hervell Ross, Wm.
Philips, Israel Collins and Stephen Philips, free persons of
color, of Caroline county;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Mr. Riddlemoser moved the House now adjourn ;
Determined in the negative.

The bill entitled, an act appointing commissioners to estab-
lish a free school in Vansville District, in Prince George's
county;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading,

The bill entitled, an act to lay out and open a road in
Montgomery and Howard counties ;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act for the relief of the sureties on the
official bonds of Lloyd B. Smith ;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Dail,

The House adjourned until Monday morning at 11 o'clock.
