The bill entitled, an act to change the present bridge
across the Pocomoke river, at the town of Snow Hill, in Wor-
cester county to a pivot or draw-bridge;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to authorise the County Commis-
sioners of Harford county, at their discretion, to levy a sum
of money to build a bridge over Winters' run;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act for the benevolent objects of the
corporation in the city of Baltimore, created under the act of
Assembly, 1852, chapter 237, called the Home of the Friend-
less, by enabling them to have committed legally to their
care and control, the destitute children who are the subjects
of their charity;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act appropriating a sum of money to
pay Eliza Herring, executrix of Wm. H. Herring, for a com-
mission under an appointment of the Governor of Maryland,
paid by the said Wm. H. Herring, in his lifetime, to the
clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore city;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to authorise Mary Susan Ridgely,
as administratrix of the goods and chattels of David Ridgely;
deceased, to convey real estate, by deed to Anne Meyer, and
others;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to protect wild ducks and other
wild fowl, in the rivers, creeks, and waters of Talbot county,
Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Goldsborough proposed the following amendments:
Sec. 2, line 7, strike out "boatmen."

Sec. 2, line 8, strike out "employed to convey," and insert
"used in conveying," in 8th line of said section;

Which was assented to.

Mr. Sudler, of Queen Anne's county, proposed the fol-
lowing amendment, as a substitute for the 8th section:

Section 8. And be it enacted, that the provisions of this
act be, and the same are hereby extended to and made appli-
cable to Queen Anne's county;
