On motion of Mr. Thruston,
The House resolved itself into a committee of the Whole on
the resolutions offered by Mr. Contee on February 15, rela-
tive to public affairs in Kansas.
Mr. Stirling of Baltimore city in the chair.
After sometime spent in committee of the Whole, the
Speaker resumed the chair, and Mr. Stirling, chairman of
the committee of the Whole, made the following report:
The committee of the Whole House beg leave to report
that they have had under consideration the preamble and
resolutions introduced by the gentleman from Prince George's
county, on the 15th instant, and report the same with the
following amendments, and ask to be discharged from the
consideration of the subject.
At the end of fourth resolution add the following:
