Mills, the legal representatives of Henry Gassaway, late of
Anne Arundel county, deceased ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Grieves, from the committee on Colored Population,
reported favorably on the Senate bill to allow George Davis,
of Kent county, Delaware, to work his slaves on his lands in
Cecil county, Maryland from time to time; also,

Reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to enable
Eliza and Francis and Eliza Jane Francis, to inherit the
real and personal estate of Corbin Francis ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Dail from the committee on Claims, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, an act to refund to Mary Tabler, of Fred-
derick county, a sum of money erroneously paid as State
taxes;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Dail from the committee on Claims, reported favorably
on a Senate bill entitled, an act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay Henry T. Scott, administrator of William Scott,
former collector of the first Collection District of Prince Georges
county, erroneously paid into the Treasury ;

Mr. Harrington from the committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably on a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
Union Gas Company of the city of Baltimore ;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Balti-
more city delegation.

Mr. Harrington, from the committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate
the Towsontown Railroad Company;

Which was read the first time;
Also, reported favorably on

The bill entitled; an act to prohibit the sale of printing,
writing and wrapping paper in less quantities than a ream
or section of a ream, within the State of Maryland;

Was read the first time.

Mr. Magruder, from the committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably on a bill entitled, an act to make valid a
peed from James J. Browne and wife to Littleton Johnson,

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Alexander, from the committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to authorise the
summoning and empanneling a jury to try causes in cases
