Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Moore proposed the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In line 2, after the word "Ackworth," insert Dr. George
R. Dennis, and John Turner."
In section 6, strike out all after the word "act," in line
14 to the word "same," inclusive in line 17, then add as fol-
lows: after the word "longer,"' in line 21, "and provided
also, that all persons really necessitous shall receive the usual
amount of pension when recommended by twenty-five of the
taxable inhabitant of the district in which he, she or they
may reside.
Which were assented to, and the bill as amended read a
second time.
The bill entitled, an act to prevent the selling of any arti-
cle or articles of merchandise, and the opening of any place of
business in the city of Baltimore, on Sunday, and the running
of any steamboat or other ferryboat, within the corporate
limits of the city of Baltimore on Sunday;
