Mr. Gray, offered the following order:

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that Mr. Sum-
mers of Washington is detained from this House by sickness;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Baker, offered the following order:

Ordered, That a committee of three be appointed to examine
certain un-recorded certificates, and plats of surveys in the Land
office of Maryland, with the view of having an act passed to re-
cord them, and report to this House,

Which was adopted.

Mr. Larrimore, offered the following order;

Ordered, That leave be granted to withdraw from the files of
the House, the petition of William J. Emory, of Queen Anne's
county, presented at the Session of the Legislature in 1856, ask-
ing for payment of money due his mother, a revolutionary pen-
sioner, and that the same be referred to the committee on Pen-
sions and Revolutionary Claims;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Stirling, offered the following order:

Ordered, That leave be granted to withdraw from the files of
the House, the petition of sundry citizens to the last Assembly,
praying the passage of a game law;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Belt, offered the following order:

Ordered, That the petition of C. C. Magruder and others, of
Prince George's county, for the relief of Thomas S. Beall, Exe-
cutor, &c, January Session 1856, be withdrawn from the files
of the House, and referred to the committee on Claims;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Spence, offered the following order,

Ordered, That when this House adjourns, it adjourns to meet
hereafter at 11 o'clock, A. M., except Mondays, and on that day
to meet at 12 o'clock, M., until otherwise ordered ;

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Magruder,

Leave was granted to the Calvert county delegation to intro-
duce a bill to authorise the Primary School Commissioners, for
election district number two, in Calvert county, to lay out and
establish a new school district in said election district.
On motion of Mr. McPherson,

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary to bring in
