Mr. Forrest offered the following order :

Whereas, It is represented that some of the records in the office
of the Cleric of the Superior Court of the city of Baltimore are in
a worn and mutilated condition and need transcribing, and also
that the general condition of said office is such as to require for
its proper management immediate attention.
It is therefore ordered, That a committee of three be appointed
by the Chair, to proceed to the city of Baltimore, and examine
the condition of the records in the office of the Clerk of the Su-
perior court, of the city of Baltimore, and also the general condi-
tion thereof, and report the result of their examination to this
House at as early a day as possible;

Which was adopted, and Messrs. Forrest, Alexander and
Clark, were appointed said committee.

Mr. Ford, of Cecil, offered the following order :                   

Ordered, That ten thousand copies of the Inaugural Address
of the present Executive be printed for the use of this House.

Mr. Contee moved to amend by inserting "15,000,"             

Which was determined in the negative.

The question being on the adoption of the order, the yeas and
nays, were required,

And appeared as follows:
