Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to make judgments
of justices of the peace, liens upon real estate, and to pro-
vide for the issue of executions upon the same; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to make valid a certain
deed therein mentioned, from John Hare and Catharine Hare
his wife, to Robert Morrison; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to authorise the sale of
certain real estate devised by the will of Josiah Bayley, de-
ceased; also.

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to prevent the sale of
intoxicating liquors in Mount Airy, Carroll county, and with-
in half a mile of the same; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed
from Mary Fitzhugh to David Longnecker; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act granting the 'assent of
the Legislature to bequests made in the last will of Rebecca
Ringold, of Kent county, to the trustees of the M. E. church
in Chestertown, to the American Bible Society, and to the Mis-
sionary Society of the M. E. church; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to carry into effect the
39th section of the 4th article of the Constitution, for the ex-
emption from execution of a reasonable amount of debtor's
property;

Which were read the first time; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to require suits before
justices of the peace for Allegany county to be brought in the
election district where the debtor or defendant resides;

Which was read the first time; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, a supplement to an act passed
at January session, 1854, chapter 193, entitled, an act relat-
ing to insolvent debtors;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Contee, from the committee on Currency, reported un-
favorably on a bill entitled, an act to alter and amend the
charter of the Somerset and Worcester Saving's Bank;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Grieves, from the committee on Colored Population,
reported favorably on a bill entitled, an act in relation to free
negroes and slaves in the State of Maryland;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Contee, from the committee on Currency, reported
unfavorably on a bill entitled, an act relating to the Banks of
the city of Baltimore in this State;

Which was read the first time.
