On motion of Mr. Rogers,
The rules were suspended, and
Said bill was read the third time;
On motion of Mr. Forrest,
Said bill was recommitted to the Baltimore city delegation.
On motion of Mr. Summers,
The rules were suspended, and
The bill entitled, an act to allow the clerk of the Circuit
Court for Washington county, further time within which to
place his fees in the hands of the Sheriff for collection, and
repealing the 11th section of the act of seventeen hundred and
seventy-nine, chapter 25, so far as it relates to said county ;
Was taken up for consideration.
The said bill being upon its second reading.
Mr. Belt proposed the following amendment:
Sec. 4. And be it enacted that the provisions of this act shall
also apply to the clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince Georges'
county, and to the sheriff of the same county, in the same
manner as it applies to the clerk and sheriff of Washington
county respectively;
Which was assented to, and the said bill read a second
time.
The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the day,
On motion of Mr. McPherson,
Said order was postponed until 1 o'clock.
Mr. Alexander, from the committee on Judiciary, reported
favorably on the Senate bill entitled, an act to exempt certain
persons from serving as jurors; also,
Favorably on the Senate bill entitled, an act to authorise
Geo. Vickers, executor of Sarah P. Wilson, deceased, to pay
over to the legatees and persons entitled under her last will
and testament, residing in the State of Pennsylvania or else-
where and to authorise the Orphans' Court of Kent county to al-
low the receipts of said legatees or persons entitled to the
executor as credit in the settlement of the accounts on the es-
tate; also,
Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to provide for the re-
moval of persons under sentence of death, to the county or
city where the offence was committed; also,
Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to make valid a bill of
sale from James Deale, of Anne Arundel county, to Franklin
Waters; also,
Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to repeal the 9th sec-
tion of the act of 1751; also,
