Mr. Crowley presented a memorial from Merchants and
Builders of Baltimore city, against any change in the inspec-
tion laws;

Which was ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city, presented a memorial from
twenty-five consumers of Leather in Baltimore city, against
the repeal of the present inspection laws;

Which was ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city, presented a memorial from
seventy-five consumers of Lumber in the city of Baltimore,
against the repeal of the present inspection laws;

Which was ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city, presented a memorial from
thirty-eight Dealers in Lumber in the city of Baltimore,
against any change in the present inspection laws ;

Which was ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. Ford, of Baltimore county, of the following order :

Ordered, That the House of Delegates meet hereafter for
night sessions at 7½ o'clock, every night with the exception
of Mondays and Saturdays, for the consideration exclusively of
local bills on their second and third reading ;

Mr. Stirling offered the following amendment:

Ordered, That the House meet hereafter at 7½ o'clock,
every evening, except Saturday, for the consideration of bilk
for a second and third reading;

Which was adopted.

The question then recurring on the order as amended;
It was adopted.

Mr. Ford, of Cecil, offered the following order:
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that the ab-
sence of Mr. Kidd from this House is caused by indisposition;
Which was adopted.
Mr. Davis offered the following order :

Ordered, That no member of this House shall be entitled
to the privilege of speaking more than fifteen minutes upon
any one subject, unless by the unanimous consent of the
House.

Mr. Kilgour moved to lay said order on the table.
