Which was referred to the Kent county delegation.
Mr. Kilgour presented a petition from Joseph Dilley, pray-
ing that an act may now be passed, allowing him to sell a
certain slave now confined in the county jail of Allegany
county;                                                                         

Which was referred to the Allegany county delegation.

Mr. Kilgour presented a petition from John H. Cupp and
twenty other citizens of Allegany county, praying that power
may be given to the Rev. John H. Cupp to sell and convey a
certain lot of ground now in their possession ;

Which was referred to the Allegany county delegation.

Mr. Landing presented a petition from Messrs. Thomas
Harris and Jacob Eshurn and others, relative to the Fisheries
of Worcester county;

Which was referred to the Worcester county delegation.

Mr. Lynch, of Baltimore city, presented a petition from
John Cathers and one hundred and eighteen citizens of Balti-
more city praying for the passage of an act to authorize John
Cathers to practice his remedy and method of treating the dis-
ease called Cancer.

Which was referred to a special committee consisting of
Messrs. Lynch, of Baltimore city, Grieves, Lynch, of Balti-
more county, Duvall, and Hearn.

Mr. Davis presented a petition from G. A. Thompson,
Jesse Brown, James Vanhorn and thirty-four other citizens
of Port Hermer, Cecil county, praying that no further law he
enacted to prevent the gillers from catching fish in the head
waters of the Chesapeake Bay.

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Morgan presented a petition from Thomas A. Lynch,
John E. Carpenter, and eighty other citizens of St. Mary's
county praying for a repeal of the act 1856, chapter 353, en-
titled, an act to raise an additional revenue to pay the debts
of the State by increasing the rates of license to ordinary
keepers and traders.

Which was referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Landing presented a remonstrance of forty-six citizens
of St. Martin's district against any change in the tenth dis-
trict of Worcester county.

Mr. Landing presented a remonstrance from one hundred
and twenty-eight citizens of St. Martin's district against any
change in the Tenth District of Worcester county ;
