EVENING SESSION, 7½ o'clock, P. M.

The House met. Present at the call of the roll, the fol-
lowing members:

Messrs. Berry, Speaker, Neale, Wickes, Meginnis, Tongue,
Mackubin, Magruder, Burgess, Stonestreet, Allender, Ford,
of Baltimore county, Lynch, of Baltimore county, Sudler, of
Somerset, Dail, Richardson, Davis, Ford of Cecil, Kidd, Belt,
Wyville, Landing, Thomas, Harding, Koons, Hobbs, Baker,
Stirling, Rogers, Smith, of Baltimore city, Kennard, Lynch,
of Baltimore city, Harrington, Alexander, Rohrer, Summers,
Riddlemoser, Duvall, Worthington, Barnard, Mountz, Mc-
Kinstry, Reindollar and Dorsey.

The bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Old-Town Sav-
ing's Institution;

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Stirling proposed the following as an additional sec-
tion:

Sec. 13. And be it enacted, that nothing in this act shall
give any authority to said corporation to issue any note to
pass as currency;

Which was assented to.

The said bill as amended was then read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to incorporate the President and
Directors of the Chesapeake Fire Insurance Company of Bal-
timore,

Being upon its second reading;

Mr. Lynch, of Baltimore city, proposed the following amend-
ment:

In section 13, line 5, after the word "person," insert "and
within ten days thereafter;"

Which was assented to.

The said bill was then read the second time, as amended,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Miller Coal
Company;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled, an act to repeal the act of 1856,
chapter 354, entitled, an act to charter the Patapsco Bank of
Maryland,

Being upon its second reading;
On motion of Mr. Kilgour,
