A bill entitled, an act act to authorise the Comptroller of
the Treasury to procure and use a stamp upon licenses issued
from his office, and to repeal so much of the act of Assembly,
passed January session, 1853, chapter 86, as regards licenses
to be countersigned by him;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on Ways and Means.

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Stockholders of
a Female Seminary in Chestertown;

schools in Carroll county;

to the Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal church;

official bond of Philip J. Connell;
