Mr. Koons offered the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that if Messrs.
Thomas and Koons, of Frederick county, and Summers of
Washington county, had been present at the time the vote
was taken on the motion to strike out the enacting clause of
Bill No. 64, entitled, '-'an act to interpret and define the
meaning of the word resident, as used in article first, section
first, m the Constitution of Maryland," they would have
voted in the negative, thereby declaring in favor of the pas-
sage of said bill;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Ford, of Baltimore county, offered the following order:

Ordered, That when this House adjourn, it will adjourn to
meet this evening at 7½ o'clock, P. M., for the consideration
of local bills, entitled to a second reading ;

On motion of Mr. Smith, of Baltimore county,
Said order was laid on the table.
Mr. Wickes offered the following order :

Ordered, That the Librarian furnish such members as have
not received them, a copy each of the Constitution ;

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,

Leave was granted to the Talbot county delegation, to in-
troduce a bill to protect wild ducks and other wild fowl, in
the rivers, creeks and waters of Talbot county.

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to intro-
duce a bill to authorise the Clerks of the Circuit Courts of
this State, to make certain entries, and to do certain acts in
the absence of the circuit judges.

Mr. Stirling, offered the following order :

Ordered, That the petition of twenty-four Constables of
Baltimore city, asking an increase of fees, heretofore referred
to the committee on Ways and Means, be referred to the Judi-
ciary committee;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Stirling offered the following order:

Ordered, That the petition of fifty-three citizens of Balti-
more, asking a prohibitory liquor law, heretofore referred to
the committee on Ways and Means, be referred to the Judi-
ciary committee;

Which was adopted.
