On motion of Mr. McPherson,

Leave was granted to the committee on Corporations, to
introduce an act to incorporate the West African Trading
Company;

On motion of Mr. Mackubin,

Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel county delegation,
to bring in a bill to incorporate the Chesapeake Marine Rail-
way Company of Annapolis;

On motion of Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city,
Leave was granted Messrs. Smith, of Baltimore city, Golds-
borough and Griffiss, to introduce a bill to enlarge the wharf
at the State Tobacco Warehouse in Baltimore, for increase of
revenue and other purposes ;

On motion of Mr. Summers,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation,
to introduce a bill to allow the clerk of Washington county,
further time within which to place his fee bills in the hands
of the Sheriff for collection ;

On motion of Mr. Thruston,

The rules were suspended, and the order of the day post-
poned until 1 o'clock.

On motion of Mr. Summers,

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill to prohibit non-residents from interfering in
elections in this State ;

On motion of Mr. Forrest,

Leave was granted to the committee on Inspections, to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an act to regulate Inspections in the
city of Baltimore,

On motion of Mr. McKinstry,

Leave was granted to the committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to repeal a part of the fifteenth section of the
act, 1852, chapter 304 ;

On motion of Mr. Rohrer,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation,
to introduce a bill to authorize the Methodist Episcopal
Church to sell Providence Chapel in District No. 12, in
Washington county ;

On motion of Mr. Belt,

Leave was granted to the Prince George's county delega-
tion, to introduce a bill for the relief of the Administrator
of Richard I. Edelen, and the sureties on his official bonds as
