Mr. Alexander offered the following order:

Ordered, That bill No. 156, an act to prohibit the courts
of this State, and the judges and clerk thereof from receiving
declarations of intention, &c, and from granting certificates
of naturalization, be made the order of the day for Saturday,
the 13th instant;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Neale offered the following order:

Ordered, That the Librarian be authorised to procure for
the use of the State Library thirty copies of Gouge on Bank-
ing ;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Crowley offered the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that the ab-
sence of Mr. Alexander and Mr. Forrest, from this House on
Wednesday evening, was occasioned by their being in Balti-
more on a committee examining into the records of the Supe-
rior Court of Baltimore city ;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Koons offered the following order :

Ordered, That the committee on Education be instructed
to inquire into the expediency of establishing by State appro-
priation, a uniform system of Agricultural Education in the
Public Schools of this State, and to report by bill or other-
wise ;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Kilgour offered the following order:

Ordered, That the committee Federal Relations, be instruct-
ed to open a correspondence with the Governors of the adjoin-
ing States on the expediency of establishing a uniform system
of banking;

Mr. Ford, of Cecil, moved to lay said order on the table ;
Which was determined in the affirmative.
Mr. Grieves offered the following order:

Ordered, That George W. Hughes report to this House,
as soon as practicable what progress he has made in the matter
of settling and determining the true boundary line between
the States of Maryland and Virginia ;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Magruder offered the following order :

Ordered, That the State Lamplighter, appointed by the
Speaker of this House, be and he is hereby allowed the sum
of three dollars per day; and shall perform such other duties
as the Speaker may direct;
