Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Old Road Turn-
pike Company, in Baltimore county ;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to prevent the selling of any article
or articles of merchandise, and the opening of any place of
business in the city of Baltimore, on Sunday; and also to pre-
vent the running of any steam or other ferry boat, or any ex-
cursion steamboat, within the corporate limits of the city of
Baltimore, on Sunday;                                               

Being upon its second reading ;

Mr. Contee moved to strike out the 4th section of said bill;

Which was determined in the negative by yeas and nays,
as follow:
