1858.] OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES. 289 Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays;" A bill entitled, an act to secure the more speedy payment Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays;" Which was read the first time, and referred to the Carroll On motion of Mr. Hobbs, the House adjourned. TUESDAY, February 9th, 1858. The House met, and was opened with prayer by Rev. Mr. Present at the call of the roll the following members: Messrs. Berry, Speaker, Neale, Wickes, Tongue, Mackubin, The proceedings of yesterday, were read. It was ordered that so much of yesterday's Journal as is Mr. Kidd presented a petition from Samuel Burns, and Which was referred to the committee on Education.
