Which was read, assented to and sent to the Senate.
Mr. Rogers offered the following order:

Ordered, That the Treasurer report to this House, forth-
with, whether the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company
have paid into the treasury of this State, all moneys by said
corporation due to this State, and if said corporation have not
so paid; the reason why? the amount, principal and interest
of said deficit, and if said payment should have been here-
tofore made, when the failure to make the same first took
place, and why ?

Which was adopted.

Mr. Wickes presented a petition from Joseph W. Webb,
Isaac Parsons, George B. Westcott, and 214 other citizens of
Kent county, for a free Bridge over Chester River at Ches-
tertown,

Which was referred to the Kent and Queen Anne's dele-
gations.

Mr. Thruston presented a petition from Minerva Barnes,
a free woman of color for relief;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Lynch, of Baltimore county, presented a petition from
Thomas Ely and others of the first and second districts of
Baltimore county, praying the passage of an act to incorpor-
ate the Watersville Turnpike Company ;

Which was referred to the committee on Corporations,

Mr. Larrimore presented petitions from John Brown,
Joseph Catlin and 118 other citizens of Queen Anne's county
for a free bridge over Chester River at Chestertown;

Which was referred to the Queen Anne's and Kent county
delegation.

Mr. Harrington presented a petition from 112 citizens of
Baltimore for chartering the Old Town Savings' Bank;

Which was read and laid on the table.

Mr. Goldsborough presented a memorial of citizens of Talbot
protesting against waste of public treasure by the Maryland
and Delaware Railroad Company ;

Which was read and referred to the committee on Internal
Improvements;

Mr. Thruston presented a memorial from sundry citizens
of Talbot county, praying checks upon any appropriation to
the Maryland and Delaware Rail Road Company.

Which was referred to the committee on Internal Improve-
ments.
