Which was read, and the invitation contained therein ac-
cepted.                             

Mr. Crowley, from a majority of the committee on Roads
and Highways, reported favorably on a bill entitled, an act
to incorporate the Green Spring Avenue Company;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Harrington, from the committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
Maryland Mutual Life and Fire Insurance Company;

Which was read the first time; also,

Favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
President and Directors, of the Maryland Fire insurance
Company of Baltimore.

Which was read the first time; also,

Favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
Annapolis Coal Company;

Which was read the first time, also,

Favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
President and Directors of the Chesapeake Fire Insurance
Company of Baltimore;

Which was read the first time; also,

Favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
Old Town Havings' Institution;

Which was read the first time; also,

Favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate a com-
pany to make a Turnpike Road in Washington county, com-
mencing at the forks of the Hagerstown and Leitersburg Turn-
pike Road, in Washington county, leading to the Pennsyl-
vania line, passed December session, 1847, chapter 147, chapter
160, and also an act passed December session, 1849, chapter
254; also,

Favorably on the Senate bill entitled, an act to authorise
the Preston Coal and Iron company of the State of Virginia,
to purchase and hold lands and other property in the State of
Maryland, and to exercise the powers and privileges of a
corporation within the State of Maryland, for mining and
manufacturing purposes; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the town
of Westernport, in Allegany county; also,

Favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
Citizens Insurance Company, of the city of Baltimore; also,

Favorably on the bill entitled, an act to amend an act to
incorporate the president and directors of the Howard Fire
