Insurance Company, of Baltimore, passed January session
1856, chapter 55 ;

Which was read the first time; also,

Favorably on the bill entitled, an act amendatory of an act
entitled, an act to incorporate the proprietors of the Rose
Bank Cemetry, passed at February session 1847, chapter
293 ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Magruder, from the committee on Education, reported
favorably on a bill entitled, an act for the establishment of a
Normal or Training School for teachers and an office in con-
nection therewith, for the collection and dissemination of in-
formation on the subject of education, at St. John's College
in the city of Annapolis ;

Which was read the first time;

Mr. Lynch, of Baltimore county, from a select committee,
reported favorably upon an act entitled, an act to set apart
the real estate of Baltimore county, known as the Alms House
property, for the payment of the public debt of said county,
and for dedicating the same to the reduction of the direct taxes
of said county ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Hearn, from a select committee, reported favorably on
a bill entitled an act to provide for the election of an addition-
al supervisor of public roads in the first election district, of
Worcester county ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Sudler, of Queen Anne's, from a select committee, re-
ported favorably on a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
Mutual Fire Insurance company, of Kent Island ;

Which was read the first time.                             

Mr. Rohrer, from a select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an act to authorise the mayor and council of
Hagerstown, in Washington county, to levy a tax to pay for
the lighting of the streets of said town ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Reindollar, from a special committee, reported favorably
on the Senate bill entitled, an act to change the name of Wes-
ley Fremont Davis, of Montgomery county to Wesley Reid
Davis.

Mr. Rogers, from a special committee, reported favorably on
a bill entitled, an act to provide for the representation of the
