On motion;

Mr. Alexander, presented a petition for the relief of Mr. Lawder,
late justice of the peace of Baltimore city;

Which was referred to the committee on Claims, hereafter to be
appointed.

Mr. Koons, presented the petition of Leonard Pinkney and
others, to have legalized the proceedings of the Burgesses and
Commissioners of Mechanics town, which was referred to the
Frederick county delegation.

Mr. Spence, presented the petition of Thomas Martin, Wm.
Weden and William V. Stinchcomb, asking to be refunded cer-
tain moneys illegally forfeited, and paid into the Treasury of
Maryland;

Referred to the committee on Claims, hereafter to be appoint-
ed.

Mr. Stirling, offered a memorial of C. J. W. Gwynn, asking
compensation for legal services;

Referred to the committee on Claims, hereafter to be appoint-
ed.

Mr. Stirling, offered a memorial of Wm. F. Frick, asking com-
pensation for legal services;

Referred to the committee on Claims, hereafter to be appoint-
ed.

Mr. Landing, made application for James Gafford, praying for
a pension for military services rendered by his father;

Referred to the committee on Pensions, hereafter to be appoint-
ed.

Mr. Thruston, presented a petition of Susanna Sibert, widow
of David Sibert; a private in the American Revolution, asking to
be allowed a pension;

Referred to the committee on Pensions, hereafter to be appoin-
ted.

Mr. Kilbourne, presented a petition from the citizens of Anne
Arundel county, to authorize the commissioners of that county
to increase the school tax;

Referred to the committee on Education, hereafter to be ap-
pointed.

Mr. Thruston presented a petition of the judges of the Or-
phans' Court of Allegany county, praying for the passage of a
law to authorize the Register of Wills of said county to transcribe
will book "A" one of the records of said Register's office;

Referred to the Allegany delegation.
