of Mr. Clark, from this House, is occasioned by his being a
member of the committee to examine into the records of the
Superior Court for Baltimore city;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Sudler, of Somerset, offered the following order:

Whereas, the Senate and House of Delegates, have appoint-
ed a joint committee, to examine the contingent fund placed
at the disposal of the late Executive of this State: and where-
as, said committee is now ready to report the result of their
labors: therefore, ordered, that the standing committee of this
House upon the Executive contingent fund, be and it is here-
by discharged from further consideration of the subject, unless
this House shall by its order, require a report of the labors of
the said committee;

Mr. Rogers offered the following as a substitute:

Ordered, That the standing committee on the Contingent
Fund at the disposal of the Executive report to this House
forthwith the expenditures of the late Executive;

The question being upon the substitute,

It was adopted.

Mr. Wickes offered the following order:

Ordered, That the Kent county delegation, be permitted to
withdraw from the files of the House, the "petition of H.
Beck and others," in relation to a School District in Kent
county;

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Kilbourn,

Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel county delegation,
to bring in a bill to change the name of Samuel Albert Clagett,
of Anne Arundel county to the name of Albert Clagett;

On motion of Mr. Landing,

Leave was granted to the Worcester delegation, to intro-
duce a bill to authorize the Commissioners of Worcester county
to appoint an additional constable for the upper part of Cos-
tine's district, being district No. 1;
On motion of Mr. McGonigal,

Leave was granted to the Caroline county delegation, to in-
troduce a bill for the relief of the trustees and administrators,
of John Thawley, former collector of State tax of Caroline
county;

On motion of Mr. Alexander,

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill better to regulate the issuing of Marriage
