Licenses, and providing for instructions to the clerks of courts
issuing the same;

On motion of Mr. Spence,

Leave was granted to the Worcester county delegation, to
introduce a bill to change the present bridge across the Poco-
moke river at the town of Snow Hill, in Worcester county, to
a pivot or draw bridge;

On motion of Mr. Moore,

Leave was granted to the Somerset county delegation, to
introduce a bill to authorise Levin M. Wilson, to settle his
accounts as guardian to Curtis A. Russel, and deliver over
the estate to his said ward;

On motion of Mr. Barnard,

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an act to protect the proprietors of
mineral lands in Allegany county;

On motion of Mr. Harrington,

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill for an act to regulate the sale of Anthracite
Bituminous and Mineral Coal:

On motion of Mr. Rohrer,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation,
to introduce a bill authorising the Mayor and Council of
Hagerstown, to levy an annual tax to defray expenses of
lighting the streets of said town;

On motion of Mr. Davis,

Leave was granted to the committee on Colored Population,
to introduce a bill authorising Charles A. McCoy, to remove
a negro slave from the State of Mississippi to Cecil county, in
this State;

On motion of Mr. Belt,

Leave was granted to the committee on Colored Population,
to introduce a bill to alter and amend the existing acts, relat-
ing to the manumission of slaves in this State;

On motion of Mr. Stirling,                         

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to bring
in a bill to empower administrators "de bonis non," to sue
for "devastavit" committed by an executor or administrator;

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills:v

A bill entitled, an act amendatory of the act of Assembly,

passed at December session, 1834, chapter 87, and entitled,

an act to incorporate the Trustees of the education fund of

the Baltimore Annual Conference;
