On motion of Mr. Lynch, of Baltimore city,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation, to in-
troduce a bill to regulate the number of coroners and the hold-
ing of coroner's inquests in Baltimore city;
On motion of Mr. Alexander,
Leave was granted to the committee on Ways and Means,
to introduce a bill further supplementary to an act, entitled,
an act to incorporate the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Com-
pany, passed at December session, 1826, chapter 123.
On motion of Mr. Harrington,
Leave was granted to the committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill for an act to amend an act to incorporate the
Institution of the Blind.
On motion of Mr. Thruston,
Leave was granted to the committee on Claims, to bring in
a bill to compensate Josiah H. Gordon, for legal services ren-
dered the State.
On motion of Mr. Thruston,
Leave was granted to the Allegany county delegation to
bring in a bill to authorise the commissioners of Allegany
county, to reduce the assessment of a tract of land, in said
county.
On motion of Mr. Thruston,
Leave was granted to the committee on the Judiciary, to
bring in a bill to prohibit the bringing of suits before Justices
of the Peace, of the several counties in this State, against citi-
zens of this State, elsewhere than in the election district where
the defendant or debtor resides.
On motion of Mr. Thruston,
Leave was granted to the committee on Claims, to bring in
a bill to refund to Horace Resley, of Allegany county, money
erroneously paid by him into the Treasury.
On motion of Mr. Thruston,
Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to bring
in a bill amendatory of the act passed at January session,
1856, chapter 353, entitled, an act to raise additional revenue
to pay the debts of the State, by increasing the rates of license
to ordinary keepers and traders, and to allow the oath or af-
firmation of the applicant required by the third and fourth
sections thereof, to be made before a Justice of the Peace.
