Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city, presented a memorial of John
W. Randolph and forty-six other citizens of Baltimore, pray-
ing for a prohibitory liquor law in this State ;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Richardson presented the application for the balance
of a pension appearing upon the books of the Comptroller due
a pensioner therein mentioned ;

Which was referred to the committee on Pensions.
On motion of Mr. Duvall,

Leave was granted to the committee on Claims to introduce
a bill to appropriate a sum of money to pay the account of
James G. Henning, clerk of the Circuit Court of Montgomery
county;

On motion of Mr. Landing,

Leave was granted to the Worcester county delegation, to
introduce a bill to prohibit the traffic in carriages from other
States, without first obtaining a license therefor as other
pedlers do, so far as the same relates to Worcester county;

On motion of Mr. Alexander,

Leave was granted to the committee on Internal Improve-
ments, to introduce a bill to amend an act entitled, an act to
promote internal improvements, by the construction of a Rail-
road from Baltimore to the city of Washington ;

On motion of Mr. Kilbourn,

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to bring
in a bill to enlarge the powers of the various courts in this
State having Equity Jurisdiction, in relation to the enforce-
ment of the vendor's lien on real estate ;

On motion of Mr. Moore, of Somerset,

Leave was granted to the Somerset county delegation, to
introduce a bill for the making of better roads in Somerset
county, by the appointment of road Commissioners in the
several districts in Somerset county by the Commissioners of
said county;

On motion of Mr. Summers,

Leave was granted to the committee on the Judiciary,
to introduce a bill for the enforcement of the police regula-
tions, and ordinances of the town of Sharpsburg in Washing-
ton county;

On motion of Mr. Lynch, of Baltimore city,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation, to in-
troduce a bill requiring the assessors of Baltimore city to
