194              JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS Jan. 29,

A bill entitled, an act authorizing the redemption of stamps
issued under Act of Assembly passed March 10th, 1845, which
have not been used and are rendered useless by the repeal of
said act; also,

A bill entitled, an act to refund to Lydia Knox, of Wor-
cester county, a certain sum of money erroneously paid into
the Treasury; also,

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the county Commission-
ers of Baltimore county to levy on the assessable property of
said county a sufficient amount of money to increase the wages
of laborers on the public roads of said county, above the
amount now allowed by law; also

A bill entitled, an act for the removal of a record from
Allegany county to Charles county; also,

A bill entitled, an act to change the name of Jacob Morris,
of Charles county to John David Hanson;

Severally endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."
On motion of Mr. Ford, of Cecil,

The rules were suspended, and he offered the following
order:

Ordered, That when this House adjourn, it adjourns to
meet at 11½ o'clock on Monday morning.

Mr. Stirling moved to amend by striking out "11½ o'clock"
and inserting "12 o'clock to-morrow."

Mr. Contee moved to amend by inserting "12 o'clock on
Monday."

Mr. Magruder moved to lay the whole matter on the table;
Which was determined in the negative.

The question then being on the motion to adjourn to Mon-
day at 12 o' clock,

It was determined in the affirmative by yeas and nays, as
follows:
