shall be delivered to the Charlote Hall Academy when re-
placed by the new one ordered by the House;

Mr. Ford, of Cecil, moved to amend by striking out ''Char-
lotte Hall Academy," and inserting "Elkton Academy;"

Which was determined in the negative.
Mr. Harrington proposed the following amendment:
"That the gentlemen from the different counties that want
the desk of the Speaker be permitted to draw lots for it."
On motion of Mr. Stirling,                                 

Said amendment was laid on the table.

Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city, moved to lay the order on the
table;

Determined in the negative.

The question recurring on the order,

It was rejected.

Mr. Morgan offered the following order:

Ordered, That when this House adjourn it adjourns to
meet on Monday at 11 o'clock.
