Ruth Adamson, widow of the late W. H. Adamson, deceased;
Which was referred to the committee on Claims.

Mr. Thruston, offered the following order;

Ordered, That the Librarian he and he is hereby instructed,
forthwith to procure and set up in this House, a new table for
for the Speaker of such material and design as the Speaker
may approve;

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Welling,

The rules were suspended, and

The House reconsidered the bill entitled, an act to incorpo-
rate the Mechanics' Insurance Company, of Baltimore,

And the said bill was recommitted to the committee on
Corporations.

On motion of Mr. Crowley,

Leave was granted to the committee on Corporations, to in-
troduce a bill to regulate contracts for the purchase and sale
of loans and stocks.

On motion of Mr. Day,

Leave was granted to the committee on Education, to intro-
duce a bill imposing a tax upon all parents in the State of Mary-
land, who may refuse to send their children to school.

On motion of Mr. Clark,

Leave* was granted to the Talbot delegation, to introduce a
bill entitled, an act to enlarge the powers of the commission-
ers of the town of Easton, in Talbot county.

On motion of Mr. Ford, of Cecil,

Leave was granted to the committee on Corporations, to intro-
duce a bill entitled, an act amendatory of an act to incorporate
the proprietors of Rose Bank Cemetery, passed at February
session 1847, chapter 293.

On motion of Mr. Spence,

Leave was granted to the Worcester delegation, to intro-
duce a bill to provide for the increase of the per diem allow-
ance of the commissioners of Worcester county.

On motion of Mr. Sudler, of Queen Anne's,

Leave was granted to the Queen Anne's delegation, to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate the Mutual Fire Insurance Com-
pany of Kent Island, Queen Anne's county.

On motion of Mr. Bacon,
Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to intro-
