Tobacco in the city of Baltimore, and to prescribe the duties
of the Inspectors and for other purposes.

On motion of Mr. Ford, of Baltimore county,

Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to bring
in a bill to increase the wages of laborers on the public roads
in Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. Thruston,

Leave was granted to the Allegany county delegation to
introduce a bill to increase the bounty on wolf scalps in Alle-
gany county;

Which was made the special order of the day for Friday,
February 5th.

On motion of Mr. Bacon,

Leave was granted to the committee on Education to intro-
duce a bill to incorporate "Havre de Grace Academy," and
also granting an annual appropriation toward the endowment
thereof.

Mr. Dail, from the committee on Claims, reported favorably
on a bill entitled, an act appropriating a sum of money to
William A. Spencer, Clerk of the Court of Appeals of Mary-
land for fees due him;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Burgess, from a select committee, reported favorably
on a bill entitled, an act to change the name of Jacob Morris,
of Charles county, to John David Hanson.

Which was read the first time, and by special order, the se-
cond and third times, three-fourths of all the members concur-
ring, and passed by yeas and nays, as follows:
