Which was read, assented to and sent to the Senate.

Mr. Barnard, presented a petition from 42 citizens of
Allegany county, praying the passage of a law to adjust the
Western Boundary Line of Maryland;

Which was read and referred to the special committee on
that subject, already appointed.

Mr. Walker presented a petition from Henry Hoffacker and
others of Baltimore county, Paper Manufacturers, for relief
therein mentioned;

Which was referred to the committee on Corporations,

Mr. Rogers, presented a petition from J. Morris Wampler
and Simon J. Martenet, for aid to make Topographical Sur-
veys and a Map of the State ;

Which was read and referred to a Special committee, con-
sisting of Messrs. Rogers, Hobbs, Thruston, Alexander and
Dail.

Mr. Mackubin presented a petition from James Revell, ask-
ing compensation for professional services rendered the State
as Counsel by appointment of the Governor, with certificate
of appointment enclosed;

Which was referred to the committee on Claims.

Mr. McGonigal presented a petition from Henry Bids, a
free negro of Caroline county, to allow him to dispose of cer-
tain real estate, in Caroline county, to his children;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Harrington presented a memorial for the suppressing the
sale of Liquors :

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Kennard presented a memorial from sundry Tobacco
Merchants and citizens of Baltimore, recommending the fixing
of the pay of the laborers in the State Tobacco Warehouses at
$1.50 per day;

Which was referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Kennard presented a memorial from 119 citizens of
Baltimore city, praying for a Prohibitory Liquor Law ;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.
