The said bill was then sent to the Senate.
Mr. Alexander, from the committee on Judiciary, intro-
duced a bill entitled, an act to prevent the selling of any ar-
ticle or articles of merchandise, and the opening of any place
of business in the city of Baltimore on Sunday, and also to
prevent the running of any steam or other ferry boat, or any
excursion steamboat within the corporate limits of the city
of Baltimore on Sunday;
Which was read the first time and referred to the Balti-
more city delegation.
Mr. Thomas, from the committee on Pensions, reported fa-
vorably on the bill entitled, an act allowing a pension to
Susanna Sibert, widow of the late David Sibert, a private
soldier in the revolutionary war, also of the war of 1812, and
appropriating a sum of money for the payment thereof;
