finally disposed of; and it is further ordered, that the said
bill to amend the act of 1826, chap. 123, as aforesaid, shall
then remain the special order of this House until finally dis-
posed of.

The question then recurring upon the amendment, the roll
was called, and thirty-five members only voting—twenty in
the affirmative and fifteen in the negative—no quorum being
present;

Mr. Miller moved a call of the House, when,
On motion of Mr. Gordon,

At two o'clock, A. M., the House adjourned.

FRIDAY, March 9, 1860.

The House met pursuant to adjournment, and was opened
with prayer by Rev. Mr. Davenport.

Landing, Dennis, of Worcester, Kessler, Claggett, Routzahn,
Johnson, Salmon, Naill, Wilson, of Harford, Bayless, Mc-
Coy, Straughn, Goldsborough, Krafft, Booze, Seth, Berry,
Crowley, McAllister, Smith, Turner, of Baltimore city, Deni-
son, of Baltimore city, Coudy, Eakle, Brining, Stake, Griffith,
Harding, Gordon, Barnard, McCleary, Roop, Gorsuch, Mills,
Turner of Howard and Brown.

The proceedings of yesterday were read.
