required a two-third vote.

Mr. Harding offered the following:

Ordered, That the Baltimore City Passenger Railway bill,
better known as the Brock bill, be made the special order of
the day for Friday, the 9th inst., at 11 o'clock, A. M., and
have precedence over all other orders and business until dis-
posed of;

Which was adopted ;

And the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Baltimore
City Passenger Railway, was made the special order of the
day for Friday, the 9th inst., at 11 o'clock.

Mr. McAllister moved that this House do now adjourn ;
Which was not concurred in.
On motion of Mr. Gordon,

The bill entitled, an act concerning the Chesapeake and
Ohio Canal company, was called up ;

When Mr. Gordon offered the following :

Ordered, That the bill entitled, an act concerning the
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal company, be taken up imme-
diately after the Brock bill, and proceeded with until finally
disposed of.

On motion of Mr. Dennis, of Somerset,

The bill entitled, an act relative to the Chesapeake and
Ohio Canal company, was called up to enable him to offer the
following amendment to Mr. Gordon's order:

And be it further ordered, That the bill to amend the act
of 1826, chap. 123, entitled, an act to incorporate the Balti-
more and Ohio Railroad company, being the Senate bill, No.
21, be made a special order, to be taken up next after the bill
in relation to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal company is
