Mr. Turner, of Baltimore city, proposed the following
amendment:

"Section 2. And be it enacted, That each driver employed
on the cars, or services of, or in connexion with this corpora-
tion, shall not he paid a less sum than one dollar and fifty
cents per day of twelve hours' service, for each and every day,
and at a proportional rate for any part thereof."
