So the amendment was lost.
Mr. Ford proposed the following amendment:
Section —. And be it enacted, That the tracks or rails
now laid down on Pennsylvania avenue, from Green street to
the Northern avenue of said city, shall be taken up and re-
moved within three months from the passage of this act, nor
shall they ever be relaid on the said avenue.
