posing of the State tobacco warehouses, and for the building
of a new tobacco warehouse on deep water;

Mr. Burgess presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Charles county, praying that James A. Butler, a free colored
man of said county, may be allowed to bring into this State
his wile, Sarah Butler;

Referred to the committee on Colored Population.

Mr. Salmon presented a petition from fifty-two citizens of
district No. 1, in Frederick county, praying the passage of a
law to change the place of voting from Buckeystown to
Adamstown, in said county;

Mr. Naill presented a petition from sundry citizens of Fred-
erick county, praying the passage of an act to change the
place of voting from Buckeystown to Adamstown district;

Severally referred to the Frederick county delegation.

Mr. Keene presented a petition from sundry citizens of Dor-
chester county, in relation to the grain law;

Referred to the committee on Inspections;

Mr. Turner, of Baltimore city, presented a petition from
Joseph C. Manning, Samuel T. Thompson and eight hundred
and thirty-one other citizens of Baltimore, remonstrating
against the passage of the bill to prohibit the green grocers
from selling fresh meats and vegetables;

Referred to the Baltimore city delegation.

Mr. Booze presented a petition from John P. Kennedy,
W. J. Albert and 261 other citizens of Baltimore, remonstra-
ting against the passage of the bill to prohibit the green gro-
cers from Rolling fresh meats, vegetables, &c.

Mr. McAllister presented a petition from F. Littig Schaef-
fer, John Henderson and 260 other citizens of Baltimore, re-
monstrating against the passage of the bill to prohibit the
green grocers from selling meats, vegetables, &c.

timore county, in favor of Brock Railway bill.
