On motion of Mr. McAllister,

Leave was granted the Baltimore city delegation to intro-
duce a bill to authorise the city of Baltimore to license vehi-
cles, whose owners reside out of the city, but use the streets

thereof.

On motion of Mr. Landing,

Leave was granted the Worcester county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to supply the clerk of Worcester county with
certain acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, and also
Alexander's Chancery Practice,

On motion of Mr. Smith,

The rules were suspended to enable him to offer a me-
morial from the owners of property on Spear's and Smith's
wharves, in regard to obstructions in Smith's dock, in the
city of Baltimore;

Referred to the Baltimore city delegation.
On motion of Mr. Legg,

Leave was granted the committee on Claims to introduce
a bill for the relief of the sureties of J. W. Story, of Queen
Anne's county.

Mr. Mackubin, from the committee on Claims, reported fa-
vorably on the bill entitled, an act to refund to Mrs. Susan
Boyle, of the city of Annapolis, certain taxes erroneously
paid by her;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Freaner, from a select committee, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, an act to amend the eighty-fifth section
of article twenty-one of the code of public local laws, by
raising the salary of the clerk of the commissioners of Wash-
ington county.

Mr. Ford, from a select committee, reported the bill enti-
tled, a supplement to the act entitled, an act to incorporate
the Elysville manufacturing company;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Corporations.

On motion Mr. Morgan,

The rules were suspended to enable him to offer a petition
from Barzilla Jones, John Bohannon and others, for the priv-
