of Baltimore city, shall in writing certify to the Governor of
this State, that such judge is unable to sit in any cause
originating in his court, it shall be the duty of said Governor
in writing to appoint another of said judges to try such cause;
and the judge so appointed shall proceed to try such cause,
and have therein, until the end of such cause, all the powers of
the court whence the cause emanated; provided, that in
every such cause in Baltimore city, the Governor shall confine
his appointment to some judge in Baltimore city, and in
every such cause in any county to some judge in any other
county; and provided, the provisions of this act shall not ex-
tend to any judge of any Orphan's court, or beyond the judges
of the Circuit courts, the Superior court, the Court of Common
Pleas, the Circuit or the Criminal court of Baltimore city.
Section 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
immediately from and after its passage.

On motion of Mr. Jones, of Talbot,
Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill to make valid the devises or bequests of Louisa
Dunning, late of Talbot county, deceased, to the Methodist
Episcopal church of St. Michael's, of said county.
On motion of Mr. Dennis, of Somerset,
Leave was granted the Somerset county delegation to re-
port a bill to allow William J. Brittingham, late sheriff and
collector of Somerset county, further time to complete his
collections.
On motion of Mr. Linthicum,
Leave was granted the committee on Inspections to intro-
duce a bill to repeal section 535, article 4, of the code of pub-
lic local laws, and restore the appointment of inspectors and
corders of firewood to the Governor.
On motion of Mr. Ford,
Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to change the name of Daniel Orrick Bosley,
of Baltimore county, to Daniel Orrick Junior.
On motion of Mr. Ford,
Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to
bring in a bill to continue the corporate existence of the Elys-
ville manufacturing company.
