with prayer by the Rev. Mr. Davenport.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following House
bills :
The bill entitled, an act to amend the 116th section of the
22nd article of the code of public local laws, which authorises
the Board of Primary Education in Worcester county to pur-
chase, build and rent school houses by giving them power to
condemn land;
The bill entitled, an act to confirm the charter of St. An-
thony's Orphan's Asylum of Baltimore city, incorporated on
the 10th day of April, 1858, under the general laws of Mary-
land, and to enlarge the powers of said corporation;
The bill entitled, an act to amend the 132nd section of ar-
ticle 20 of the code of public local laws, relating to the town
of St. Michael's, and to add the following section thereto, in-
creasing the powers of the commissioners of said town:
