Worthington, Denison, of Baltimore county, Quinlan, Ren-
shaw, Jones, of Talbot, Long, Stanford, Lawson, Linthicum,
Wilson, of Cecil, Maxwell, Jones, of Prince George's, Legg,
Starkey, Kessler, Claggett, Johnson, Salmon, Naill, McCoy,
Straughn, Goldsborough, Krafft, Booze, Seth, Berry, McAl-
lister, Smith, Turner of Baltimore city, Denison, of Balti-
more city, Coudy, Eakle, Brining, Griffith, Barnard, Beall,
McCleary, Roop, Gorsuch, Mills and Turner, of Howard.

The proceedings of yesterday were read.

Mr. Barnard presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Allegany county, in relation to wild cats;

Referred to the Allegany county delegation.

Mr. Eakle presented a petition from the patrons of the
Mount Pleasant school in Washington county, praying au-
thority to dispose of a school house lot, and build upon
another;

Referred to the Washington county delegation.
On motion of Mr. Compton,

Leave was granted the committee on the Militia to intro-
duce a bill to provide the mode for calling out the military of
Baltimore city.

On motion of Mr. Durant,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill to amend article 30 of the code of general laws,
by adding thereto a further section.

On motion of Mr. Worthington,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill to incorporate the North Branch Railroad
company.

On motion of Mr. Worthington,

It was ordered, That the leave granted to the committee on.
Agriculture to introduce a bill in reference to State Agricul-
ture, was withdrawn and referred to Messrs. Worthington,
Turner, of Howard and Naill.

Mr. Kessler presented a petition from Frederick county,
praying that no oppressive laws be passed in regard to the
colored population;

Referred to the committee on Colored Population.
On motion of Mr. Renshaw,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill granting the Baltimore and Havre de Grace Turn-
pike company, permission to lay passenger railways upon the
bed of said road.
